Privacy policy

Internetforeveryone collects, retains, uses, and discloses personal information (e.g., name and address) only as necessary to provide the services requested by individuals contacting us, or as specified below. We do not use this information for any other purpose and do not share it with anyone else.
Internetforeveryone Supporters List

Internetforeveryone maintains a list of individuals who have indicated that they are supportive of its activities. This list contains the name and contact information provided by such individuals, and any information provided regarding their interests and activities that pertain to Internetforeveryone’s mandate. Internetforeveryone may use this list to distribute notices about activities, to invite supporters to join a regular email news service or to take action on an issue, or as a base for offering memberships. Any such use will be infrequent. We may also use the list to indicate aggregate numbers of supporters to funders or others who question who we represent.

At the point of collection, we will ask supporters (individuals or organizations) if they are willing to have their names appear on the website as supporters. These names will only appear on the website if consent is given. Beyond this, we do not share the full list with anyone.
Activist Networks

Internetforeveryone maintains a list of individuals who have indicated their interest in acting with us on particular projects. Internetforeveryone uses these lists to distribute information and urgent action bulletins, and as a resource in our advocacy efforts. We do not share this list with anyone.

Internetforeveryone operates a web site at http://www.internetforeveryone.ca. We maintain logs of users that view our web site. We aggregate data from this log to assess how the public uses our web site, and to better identify issues Canadians are seeking to better understand. We periodically delete logs of users that view our web site. We do not track individual users of our web site, and we do not enable cookies.

The site also contains a list of names of those supporters (individuals and organizations) who have agreed to be named publicly. No other information about these supporters will be shared.
